Vortex Clear Bowl

The idea of using glass as a raw material of a bowl may seem very strange. Indeed, in the mind of people the glass remains a heat sensitive material that may break. This is the case of the majority of ordinary glasses which break under the heat from coals.

However, the Vortex Clear bowl is composed of a specific glass that is often referred to as Pyrex (which is actually a trademark), that is specifically borosilicate glass.

Contrary to popular beliefs, borosilicate glass will be stronger and more heat-resistant than any clay, terra cotta or ceramic. The advantage about using glass for bowl confection is the low porosity of the material. Your Vortex bowl will therefore not keep the juice of the tobacco used and end up looking new after every washing it.

The aesthetics of your bowl will be preserved and you will not have crimsom at the top of your bowl.

The Vortex Clear bowl supports dishwashers and detergent use. Vortex glass bowl was designed for smoking Premium tobacco (very wet and containing a lot of juice) and steam stones.

Indeed, the Vortex Clear has a central axis on which are located holes for the air to flow. The tobacco or steam stones juice is thus kept in the bowl and does not flow into the stem.

Although the borosilicate glass is extremely strong, remember not to voluntarily submit it to excessively violent thermal shocks.

Let the temperature cool down peacefully after use and prevent yourself from plunging it into icy water while it is still burning. This advice is also for all types of bowls, you will extend the lifetime of your Vortex clear bowl.
